Biography
Michael W. Shore practices in the areas of intellectual property commercialization, business litigation, and other select litigation matters involving catastrophic personal injury. His intellectual property practice focuses on representing non-profit research institutions and includes universities and both governmental and private research institutes.
Michael's
practice is multifaceted, aiding clients in commercializing their patent
portfolios through strategic development, licensing and litigation. Mr. Shore
is undefeated in jury trials over his 35-year career. In the last 3 years he
has successfully tried cases in both Texas and Delaware federal district courts
that have resulted in verdicts and judgements valued at over $250 million. He
has recovered over $2 billion for his clients over his career. Michael
works closely with client counsel on trial strategy, and seeks their input
continuously through the process.
Michael
is a 7th generation Texan, and married to his wife of 34 years,
Judy Shore. Judy motivated him to study harder in law school in an attempt to
overtake her in class rank. He came up short, but Judy managed to get Michael
into the Order of the Coif. Michael has two children of which he is
overly proud: Gatlin Shore who teaches school in Dallas and Emma Rose who is
graduating in 2026 from UCLA Law School.
